Up at the crack of dawn and off to Missionary Flights International in Fort Pierce, FL. Pastor Raymond Bideaux, Pastor Chris "JC" Hall and Colton Hall boarded the sturdy little DC-3 and headed to Port Au Prince, Haiti en route to Ile A Vache.
Sister KrisAnne was there to see her baby off. At nine years old, Colton is learning what it means to serve the Lord in the harvest field of the Gospel. Colton and Pastor Chris will be in Haiti through January as the Hall family continues to partner with IEM to spread the Gospel and minister to the people of the Haiti and the Caribbean. |
One of the interesting sites on the trip down today was our flyby of Citadel La Ferriere. This fortress was built between 1805 and 1820 after Haiti gained its independence from France. They were fearful of the French invading to retake the island, so several fortresses were constructed. The Citadel overlooks Cap-Hatien and on a clear day you can see the coast of Cuba from its rooftops. It had 365 cannons from all over Europe and there are still pyramid stacks of cannon balls around the site.
There is much to do and many adventures ahead. Stay tuned and we will keep you posted. Don't forget to visit our Facebook page that we use to keep people quickly up to date and connected when we can't get to anything else.
